This man-made
fiber used in this blanket draws inspiration from the
nightingales of New Zealand, the tui bird. The native bird,
called by many names other than Tui or Koko, was of great
importance to New Zealand’s indigenous people, the Maori,
and there are many stories about them in Maori legend and
folklore. They are usually dark brown or black with variable
metallic blue green coloring.
The tui range includes other items that can be viewed in
the
cushions and throws and
treasure collections.
