albatross blanket

This blanket is super luxurious with faux-fur/feather in white with deep brown accents on one side and black satin/velvet on the other.  The blanket can also be used as spread on a bed or rug for low traffic/clean areas such as a bedroom.  The albatross range includes other items that can be viewed in the cushions and throws collection.

The material design is inspired by the largest seabird known to man, the Albatross.  New Zealand has a number of species including the largest where adult birds can have wing spans of over 12 feet and fly thousands of miles across the Southern limits of the Pacific Ocean.

Because so many albatross species live and breed in New Zealand waters and islands, New Zealand is known as the ‘Albatross Capital of the World’.  Albatrosses are among the most long-lived of birds and commonly reach the age of 30-40 years.  With more endemic Albatross and petrel species than any other country, conservation is a huge issue for New Zealand
